Donald Siegfried was born on Long Island in New York. He attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on a gymnastics scholarship. He competed on the second place National LSU gymnastic team in 1976. He also attended law school at LSU where he was president of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and a member of the Second Place National F. Lee Bailey Moot Court Team.
After graduation from LSU Law School, he was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1989 and practiced law with the Firm of Neblett, Beard & Arsenault for almost 23 years. In 2012 Donald decided to start his own firm. He has been admitted to practice in all of the State and Federal Courts in Louisiana as well as the United States Court of Federal Claims and Supreme Court of the United States.
He is involved in litigation in all types of personal injury including admiralty, products liability, FELA, class action, mass tort and environmental litigation. Additionally, he has spoken on these topics at numerous continuing legal education seminars for lawyers.
His Class Action and Mass Tort experience includes work in the Fen-phen Diet Drug MDL, Cruise line accidents, Hepatitis C, Food Poison, Orthopedic Devices, Pharmaceuticals, and Wood Preservative Products.
Donald was the President of the Alexandria Bar Association, chairman of the Rapides Parish Civil Service Board, Board of Governors Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, member of the Louisiana State Bar Association Liaison Committee and 2008-2009 President Crossroads-American Inns of Court. He is also a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice, Trial Lawyers of America, and past instructor at Northwestern State University.
Recently Donald Siegfried has taken classes in mediation and will add mediations to his practice.
Donald is married to Melissa and has two sons, Mitchell and Blake. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 6 Committee, has coached little league baseball and football, taught Catechism classes and participates in Auto Racing.
